Andres Iniesta is Leaving FC Barcelona and the Emotions are just Indescribable

Andres Iniesta is the heart of FC Barcelona. We have seen him play for the club since his Masia days.

Now though he’s leaving the club and going to China due to some personal reasons. The fans of the club have known since some time now that Andres Iniesta will be announcing his departure soon. It is still news that we’d rather just not believe.

The actual announcement came after the Copa del Rey final, even though the final was a very sentimental affair. It was Andres Iniesta’s last final in the FC Barcelona jersey and the whole squad felt that deeply. Andres is more than just a team mate, he is a friend to the boys and an idol to all the young ones.

MATS was on the stands for the Copa Final. He has put the feelings of the whole squad in this tweet:

Andres means the world to the fans and players of FC Barcelona. With the likes of Xavi, Puyol, Valdes, Villa and Andres leaving the club it seems like the end of an era for the club. Andres was the last man standing from the ultimate giant of Pep’s Barcelona. Most people watched that team and fell in love with this club.

Andres Iniesta is more than just a club legend though. He is a beautiful phenomenon and is one of the best midfielders of the present age.

His departure from the club was a sad news for the whole football fraternity. All current and retired players that have been associated with him one way or the other appreciated the legend. The hastag #Infinit8Iniesta and #GraciasIniesta (Thank you Iniesta) were trending since the day of the announcement.

Iniesta joined La Masia as a young boy and he leaves now as someone we will always remember.

The teary-eyed announcement he made was one of the most emotional times of the life of a Barcelona fan. Everyone from the players, the staff and Iniesta himself was crying throughout. This guy is just something else and he is loved by everyone.

Iniesta has won it all in his career with Spain and FC Barcelona. He has a shelf full of silverware and he cannot possible ask for anything else. He is one of the most loved, respected and talented players on any field at any point of time.

What he has done for the club and for country has been remarkable to call the least. However, it must be said that finding a replacement for him will be impossible. Andres has proved every now and then that age is just a number. He is a true baller and his control in the midfield is outstanding. He makes passes like the ball just flew right off his foot and magically landed exactly where he wanted them.

Iniesta UCL goal against Chelsea in 2008-09 and his WC winning goal in 2012 will always be the most memorable moments of his career.

It is well and truly with the heaviest of heart that we have come to peace with the fact that he is leaving. Some goodbyes are just too hard and every Culer wants to see him playing for FC Barcelona until he can no longer play football.
