How To Go Through the Day When You’re Feeling Low

If you are feeling low, nothing seems right and everything frustrates you, don’t worry! You are not alone, we all know how you feel, we all go through such phases in life when we feel aimless and useless.

There are days when we are feeling low on energy to deal with life and just want to stay in bed. It’s a feeling we all are familiar when we have zero motivation to do anything and sadness takes over our hearts.

Well, there are few things we can do to help ourselves on such low days and feel a little better:

  1. Dress up

“Look good, feel good” is the first thing you can do on such days. Take your favorite new outfit and wear it, put your red lipstick on and you will suddenly feel a change in your mood. When you dress up and feel good about yourself, you automatically feel more confident and your mood improves.

  1. Cry it out

If you are being cranky about every little thing on a particular day, its totally normal. There’s nothing bad in crying on silly things, in fact you will have a moment to laugh on later. Cry it out and feel light, never hold it in.

  1. Watch your favorite movie or TV show

Give yourself some “Me time” and watch your favorite movie or TV show with your favorite snack.

  1. Talk to someone

Talk about how you feel with a friend or family or anyone and take it out of your system. Talking in a mirror, sometimes also helps.

  1. Focus on your blessings

Remind yourself of all the blessings you have been blessed with. Think of people in worse situation than you and be thankful.

  1. Get out of the house

Leave your house and go to some restaurant or a movie or even a park for a walk would help. Getting out of the house and meeting people helps a lot.

  1. Read motivational quotes

Read motivational quotes about life and happiness. Spiritual quotes also work magically on such days because they leave you thinking which is a good distraction from your negative thoughts.
