Marvel is Planning To Introduce First Muslim Superhero into The MCU

Marvel is gearing up to introduce first Muslim superhero. Yes, you read that right!

Marvel Cinematic Universe is an American media franchise. It is a shared universe which has many superhero films independently produced by Marvel Studios. Some of the films released by them are Iron Man, The Avengers, Ant-Man, Captain American: Civil War. Now, they are planning to introduce first Muslim Marvel superhero.

First Muslim Marvel superhero: Miss Marvel

Marvel’s first and only Muslim superhero is MS Marvel a.k.a Kamala Khan. She was created by editors Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker, writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Adrian Alphona. While she made her debut in the comics in 2013.

She is a Pakistani American girl from New Jersey who has shape-shifting abilities.

When she finds out about her abilities, she disguises herself as Ms Marvel.

President of Marvel confirms the news

Marvel’s President, Kevin Feige, has confirmed the news that they are planning to introduce the first Muslim superhero. During an interview to BBC, he said:

Ms Marvel… the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, definitely sorts of in the works.”

Goes without saying that people are excited about the news, including celebrities.

Ever since the news got out, people cannot contain their excitement.

Kudos to more female role models!

We all have high expectations from this.

We all would Scarlet Stitch, definitely.

We all just cannot wait for first Muslim Marvel character!!!

Meanwhile, Riz Ahmed and Mindy Kaling have ideas of their own.

People started suggesting who should play Ms Marvel

While there were some who suggested Priyanka Chopra should play Ms Marvel, most of them don’t think its a good idea.

Seriously, have you? *rolls eyes*

Obviously if the character isn’t played by a Pakistani we will be disappointed.

Marvel should not mess up the casting

Although Priyanka Chopra is a very talented actress, she is not the appropriate choice for Ms Marvel. They should cast someone who can represent Pakistanis and Muslims. It should be a Pakistani. Period. Also, we have so many talented actresses in Pakistan who can play this part with ease.

Meanwhile, we have some suggestions for Marvel’s first Muslim superhero:

Sajal Ali

Maya Ali

Mawra Hocane

Sohai Ali Abro

While these are some of the famous actresses, there are so many talented teenage girls waiting for the right opportunity. Marvel should consider real teenage girls for this part.

Here’s hoping that Marvel gives this part to someone who can really represent Pakistanis

Although its great news for Muslims everywhere, we need the right representation of Pakistanis as well.
