The Junaid Jamshed Mosque has been Inaugurated in Karachi

The Junaid Jamshed mosque has been named after the singer turned evangelist.

The inauguration took place on 22nd May ,2018. So the beautiful Junaid Jamshed mosque is open to public now. This news was shared by actor and TV presenter Sanam Baloch on Twitter along with some pictures.

Junaid Jamshed’s died in a plane crash when he was travelling to Chitral on 7th December, 2016. It was PIA flight 661 which crashed near Havelian, on the way back to Islamabad. There were no survivors.

The Junaid Jamshed Mosque is located at Singer Chorangi, J dot, unit 2. It combines modern architecture with Islamic culture and is a beautiful sight. Junaid Jamshed mosque serves as a reminder of a man who used to visit mosques frequently around the country. He gave inspiring speeches to instill highest ethics in our society.

Juniad Jamshed’s Life at a glance

Jamshed gained nationwide recognition as lead singer of ā€˜Vital Signsā€™ band in 1987. However, their albums later topped the Music Channel Charts around the country. Dil Dil Pakistan is one of his most famous songs. Although in 2004, he left his music career and became a religious scholar. HeĀ focused only on religious activities for Islam while his appearance changed drastically. He alsoĀ built a fashion boutique house in the name of J. Although this later emerged as one of the major retail brands of Pakistan.

In 2007, Jamshed received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Medal of Excellence) by then president.

His name appeared among 49 others on a passenger manifest for Pakistan International Airlinesā€™ (PIA) flight PK661. He was with his wife on the plane who also died.

His contributions to Pakistani music industry can never be forgotten. He was an epitome of love and kindness and has made the country proud. His lifestyle change has inspired many youngsters and he was seen as an idol.
