27th July lunar eclipse was one of the longest lunar eclipse of 21st century. The total time span of the eclipse was 1 hour, 42 minutes and 57 seconds. The world has experienced another eclipse this year on 31st January but its totality was 1 hour and 16 minutes.

People in many countries got a glimpse of “Blood Moon”.

When Sun, Earth and Moon line up, Earth’s shadow passes through the moon, turning it red in color. That red moon is called blood moon which was seen at 9:10 pm on 27th July.
