FC Barcelona Claim an Emotional Copa del Rey Title as they Crush Sevilla

FC Barcelona thump Sevilla in the Copa del Rey final with a 5-0 win.

The Spanish giants FC Barcelona have bagged their fourth consecutive Copa del Rey title beating Sevilla. The win was their 30th Copa title and was an easy win over Sevilla.

Barcelona seemed to be in control since the match started. The whole team played their best football and it was all too emotional.

According to various reports the Copa del Rey final was the last final Don Andres Iniesta will play for FC Barcelona. He is set to leave the club and move to China at the end of the season. Iniesta is more than just a player and a captain for the Catalan club and the match was more of a farewell to the club legend.

Players and fans both cried as the victory seemed bitter sweet to Cules. The crowd chanted his name as a teary eyed Iniesta left the field.

Andres Iniesta is a phenomenon for he is one of the best midfielders of the present era. He is still world class and the loss is too much to bear. He is much more than a player as the living club legend has done wonders for FC Barcelona. The Copa del Rey final might be the last one he will ever play in for FC Barcelona. Although he has not made any official statements yet, we all know what is coming our way.

Andres Iniesta rolled back the years as he outperformed all in the midfield. It was a pure masterclass performance as he topped it all off with a beautiful goal as well. The 5-0 victory included goals from Lionel Messi, Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suarez as well.

The amazing long ball from Jasper Cilessen reached Coutinho who passed it on to Luis Suarez. El Pistolero made no mistake while finishing the goal off.

The second goal was Lionel Messi magic as he fired one in the back of the net and also assisted the third one. The lovely through ball to Suarez that made up for the third goal is one of the many reasons Messi is the best player on earth.

Barcelona went into half time with a 3-0 advantage. The match was pretty much decided but that was not why everyone was watching so intently.

This was probably the last time Capitan Don Andres Iniesta would lift a trophy for FC Barcelona. That was an image all fans wanted to witness for themselves. Moreover, everyone was waiting for an Iniesta goal to really finish off the night.

Iniesta scored in the 56th minute of the game and the celebration is what every Barca fan will remember for a lifetime.

The fifth goal came off of a penalty struck by Phillipe Coutniho. After a wrongly disallowed goal led to a handball and a penalty, Coutinho made sure his name was on the score sheet of this epic game.

The Copa del Rey trophy is the first FC Barcelona trophy for both Valverde and Coutinho.

For now, FC Barcelona are celebrating a trophy but also grieve the loss of their Captain. Iniesta will leave the biggest hole in the team and no one can ever fill his shoes. So long, Captain!
